About Cielo los Rumberos.....
"Nuevo Flamenco", or new Flamenco, was the name given to a younger generation of flamenco artists influenced by other contemporary and traditional musical mosaics during the eighties. Jazz in particular, as well as the South American mix of salsa and rumba, have contributed to this ever-expanding fusion. Ironically, groups such as the Gypsy Kings actually helped bring progressive and traditional Rumba, and possibly even Flamenco to a broader audience worldwide.
CIELO now takes its turn, pouring passion and creativity into every song and every performance. They are primarily known for their impressive "Salsumba" style and fusion guitar technique. This mix of progressive Latin jazz elements, mixed with Rumba rhythms, colorful romantic textures as well as adventurous guitar voicing is what really makes up CIELO.
